Default Perez-Steele Autographs

Is there a population report on the Perez-Steele Auto Postcards of each player ? If so, please advise how to retrieve this information.

Just go to the PSA population report and type "Perez Steele" in the search box.

SGC should be similar.

Originally, 10,000 of each HOF postcard was issued (unsigned) by Perez-Steele Galleries. There is, of course, no way of knowing how many unslabbed signed postcards exist. Perez-Steele themselves, never issued any autographed postcards. All the signatures were obtained by collectors/dealers.

I would think there are more un-slabbed than slabbed.

About a decade ago, I was having Jim Palmer sign a Perez-Steele postcard. Palmer looked at the card and said "Ah, Perez-Steele, I think I have signed every single one of these." As much as Palmer signs, I tend to believe him.

I remember, some years back, someone saying that an unsigned DiMaggio PS card was really hard to find.

Speaking for only myself, I was an original subscriber to the Perez-Steele postcards when they first came out. I still have my complete set of them, and I never got any signed. There were far too-many cases where a collector would send their postcard to a show promoter for signing, only to get a different postcard back (same player, just a different serial number on the back). I never took that chance, as I wanted to maintain my serial-numbered set.

Complete sets, all cards with the same serial-number on the back.....now those can probably be difficult to get now-a-days.

I have bought some signed PS postcards of certain players, but they are in addition to my set.

I would think the opposite would be true. At some point, DiMaggio refused to sign the cards. The story was that Perez-Steele owed him $10K-$20K. I wish that I would have got into the cards much sooner.

Then again, as one of the top 10 forgeries in the hobby unsigned cards might be hard to find. I wish that I would have got into the postcards much sooner.

Currently, there are three unsigned postcards on ebay.

I see there are Registry Sets for the Perez-Steele Unautographed sets. Are their Registry Sets for the Auto Sets ?
