Default Lists of 1985-1995 Cards with Value?

I am going through my childhood collection and trying to decide what to do with much of the 1985-1995 stuff I have.

At the moment I am planning to try to get down to a few binders with the cards that I remember and liked, and put the rest in boxes to save space. Not sure what I will do with what ends up in those boxes, but getting them out of my house seems like it could feel pretty good.

Because I am so out of touch with stuff from this era, I am curious if there are any good sites that show the error cards that have some value. I would like to look for these as I go through things but I have no idea where to start.

Thanks in advance.

1989 Fleer Bill Ripken(many variations), Randy Johnson(many variations), and Wade Boggs without black dot after Throws Right on back of card. Not a lot of value but I am your Huckleberry for the Boggs.

1986 Topps Blue Streak error. Roger Clemens, Tom Seaver, and Terry Puhl.

Focusing on the cards worth more than $10:
1988 Score Promos with 0's for the stats in 1987 and Career.

1989 Upper Deck Dale Murphy Reverse Negative
1990 Topps Frank Thomas NNOF RC and George Bush USA1 (may have made it into packs, theoretically)
1991 Topps Oil Can Boyd ERROR, Mark Whiten ERROR, Chris Hoiles ERROR,

1991 Topps - [Base] #48.2 - Oil Can Boyd (Black Tip of 40th Anniversary Logo visiible on front.)

1991 Topps - [Base] #42.2 - Chris Hoiles (White Inset Border on Front)

Whiten has hand extending past border.

Any 1991 Topps Desert Shield Star/HOF.

That's a start.

I'll pay a king's ransom for either of these, the Orta is missing border lines in the lower left corner.

1990 Topps cards on the same sheet with Thomas may also have missing black ink, and those can sell for hundreds each (even for commons). There is a great thread on PSA's board by BunchofBull (IIRC) that shows the layout of the cards with missing black ink.

With all the Clemens and Seaver Blue Streaks out there that Puhl is next to impossible to find. One seller sold 3 around 2 years ago. I didn't see them till after they sold and they each went for way more than a kings ransom.

Good luck finding one Cliff, they are a awesome trio.

Same thing with the 1985 Topps Orta, the other two affected by the print flaw are readily available, Jerry Royster and Ivan DeJesus, but that Orta is the only one that I have ever seen.

M John: I don't have those letters any more but I can assure you that the Frank Thomas made it into packs. We got enough letters from readers verifying those pulls.

I thought the guy selling the 3 Puhls was asking $100 each. I think that is what I paid

The lowest Buy-It-Now I remember was $150, I was going to wait until one got to around $100. Boy, did I mess up.

For sure. I meant only the George Bush (non-glossy) might have made it into packs accidentally.

Well, I would probably question whether those were real sales or not. Otherwise a whale has decided to complete the set and is paying way above market, IMO. Could just be a guy trying to get prices recorded to sell more in the future.

Thanks for all of the feedback, much appreciated.

Does anyone have checklists of cards all organized? I would like to make sure that I don't miss anything when I sit down to look through everything.

Probably the Junk Wax Gems website is going to be your best bet.

Like John said, Junkwax gems is the best out there.

It doesn't list everything, but nearly anything that currently has some decent value is there.
