1926-31 postcard back exhibits. There is an article about them in the current Old Cardboard magazine.

To answer your question, I think it might be W461. That would be in section 30 of the American Card Catalog, mine is a 1960 edition and the cards are on page 185. I looked at the listings with the PC prefix, and they don't seem to fit.

W461 was for photo types

W462 was for the ones with "Greetings" or "Best Wishes"

W463 was for the 4 on 1 cards

W464 was for the 33 card Hall of Fame cards

W465 was for the PCL exhibits

W461 for all of the years, lumped together.
Frank.

Paul, This is a blank back issue.

Frank, It's a W561 but I was hoping on pinning the year. I am certain it's not the 1921 and leaning toward '22.

Exhibits are a challenge, When you've matched the photo, the tint, text or back contradicts. Admittedly, it makes things fun. Thankyou both for your research.

It is in the SCD book. I did a pretty long article on it in the current Old Cardboard. Check their website for a gallery. If your card is blank-backed it is from the earliest print runs. Don't know the ACC on these; Burdick didn't really make much effort to differentiate Exhibit cards.

Ahhh, Steve. Your post asked ACC designation, not year.

W461 1921 Exhibit.

And I agree there's overlap and confusion.

The other folks that have responded keep wanting it to be a postcard. But you say it is a blank back card. And I believe it. W461, says Mr. Burdick.

Yes Frank, my error. Question was posed prior to realizing the ACC# transcends multiple years on this and other Exhibits.

Thankyou Adam -Great article. Some early Exhibit postcards weren't postcards then. Got it.

Okay, hold my calls, I'm goin for a little ride now.

I don't have the Old Cardboard article with me, but I believe that it says the early print runs of the 1926-31 "postcard" set have blank backs.

They are convincing me that it is a PC front with a blank back. (Can't have both a PC back and a blank back at the same time, now, can it?)
