Default Help with old bat found at estate sale

Hi, everybody. Hoping to get some help on an old bat I found yesterday at an estate sale: era, any value, whatever else you can tell me. It's not quite 33 inches long, has no maker's mark and obviously isn't in mint condition. I paid only a buck for it, so if it's nothing, I won't have to declare bankruptcy.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Rob

Default Guess..

1900's-1940's kids home made stick ball bat. With no markings that's the best I can commit to. You're not going to lose any money on it.

Can you give the diameter of the barrel and handle?

Hello. Thanks for the help.
the diameter of the barrel is about 1 3/4 inches. The handle at its narrowest is about an inch. Fairly skinny bat.
Thanks.
