The advice that is often given here is that, if you know an auto is legit, there is no real need to get it authenticated -- to tell you something you already know. And, if you plan to sell it someday through an auction house, they will authenticate it themselves. Therefore, there's no real value in spending money now on authentication. This is my advice and I believe I have summed up correctly what a number of other folks here have said with respect to other items. Of course, not everyone may agree.
