Not a standard card, but pre-dates his standard RC, postmarked 1948 RPPC

Those two are super! Mine is much more modest. While researching Charlie Secrest before posting his card on my '58T blog, I discovered he was from my Mom's hometown of Lewistown, Pa and was still living there. I sent along this card and he was nice enough to sign it for me.

Not exactly vintage, but few pre-WWII signed RC's

PSA doesn't track explicitly, but definitely hard to find this Schmitty triple-signed

Not prewar but a nice trio (quartet actually). I like these because they were all TTM so I had to send the Ryan card out twice. First to Koosman and then to the Nolan Ryan Foundation. Ryan bungled the inscription and had to change a number. Still a cool card though and I’m sure unique in that sense!!

Nice card. I have a Schmidt signed RC and Cey is a very easy TTM. That’s one I wouldn’t want to not get back in the mail though. Anything can happen. I don’t know much about the other guy. If I were trying to complete it I’d start with the other two guys and get Schmidt at a show or private signing.

Edit ** Apparently Hilton passed. So yeah probably a very low pop card.

Sweet! Always wanted a signed Gehrig card. 100x harder than Ruth, probably more!

Sadly, the signed 52 set has taken much of my time and commitment and most of my prewar signed stuff I've sold off. Still feel I can finish the signed 52 one day, though it's been 2 years since I've been able to add a unique player. I now need to add about 2 a year to finish before my retirement goal!

Default A few of my goodies.......

I own the only known slabbed Felipe Alou Rookie from 1959, card #102 I think, slabbed by PSA/DNA. Of course, no photo as its in my safety deposit box. I have every Rookie signed from the 1961 Fleet Set including both Wilt Chamberlains.

He has never collected cards, but he bought me two days of tickets and stood there at the convention with me the entire time. He had to be bored out of his mind! That was a great collecting year. I think I got 4 different Ichiro RC's that year, but none of the expensive ones on a freshman in high school budget. My favorite is the Fleer Fanfest Ichiro. Just good memories wrapped up in that one.

Sorry it's not vintage, but it is F***ing Savage. Both are TTM, I believe in '97 or '98.

Vince and Dom's ML rookies + Joe. I'd love to find signed Zeenuts of the brothers at some point.

Is it really a Rookie card if it comes out the year after your career is over?

That Roush autograph is great! I'm a Cincinnati Reds collector. Very cool piece.

Not sure how many of the cards in this thread were gotten in person by the poster, but this is my favorite all time in person score:

dang! There are some incredibly rare items in this thread!

I have a few 1960s and 1970s autographed team issue postcards that I really enjoy, but not much pre-war. Here's my only pre-war autographed rookie card:

1939-46 Lou Boudreau

Here are some of my favorite autographed post-war team issue postcards:

1974 George Brett:

1967 Johnny Bench:

1975 Gary Carter (w/ French-Canadian salutation):

And not quite a HOFer, but certainly a HOF caliber player ...

1963 Pete Rose:

I'm not sue if you're familiar with imgur, but they allow you to resize any image you upload to their site. By hitting "edit image" you can change the dimensions and then you apply the dimensions and save the image. They also provide you with a link that's formatted for forums like this one. Hope that helps!

Got this one back today from a private signing. Was supposed to have the HOF inscription but it still came out nice.

Another one of my favorites I own, Yaz rookie signed with BOTH a rookie era signature and modern. Very unique and pretty cool.
