Did Leaf miss this super rare George Davis signature?
Greetings all, been a lurker for a long time. I am crazily trying to get every baseball HOF autograph and may have just gotten number 274 on the list, an elusive George Davis signature.
Leaf issued a cut signature of Bill Terry, a nice bold signature, but below it is another that they simply did not even mention. Sure looks like George Davis, and that's a huge miss on their part. Have a look, I'd love to know what you have to say. https://imgur.com/gallery/0bDozAP |

I believe that is George "Kiddo" Davis, who was a Giant in 1933, 1935-1937. But I always like the "free" autographs you sometimes get with these cards.

Welcome to the boards! I hope you will post some your autographs. Unfortunately, that is not HOFer George Davis. Davis was out of baseball before Terry debut.
Feel free to ask more questions. |

As stated about, that is indeed George Kiddo Davis. He also played on the 1934 Gas House Gang Cardinals.

Great question, but as others said definitely not the HOF'er George Davis. He is incredibly, incredibly rare. If they missed that one, it probably would've been industry news. Probably a 15k plus autograph.

Yes, unfortunately the simplest answer is usually the correct one. Looks like I am stuck at 273 signatures! I'll post a want list once my bank account recovers from the last few purchases.
