As long as this doesn't seep into plays at the plate, close calls on the bases, trapped balls, and, egads, balls and strikes, I'm okay with it. Not crazy about it, but okay with it. |

They might not need it if they would allow the ump closest to the play make the call on disputed home runs. I can think of 3 Mets games this year where the other umps overruled the one closest to the play and all 3 times the call ended up wrong. I could live without catchers gesturing down to first or third on checked swings too-drives me nuts. |

I wish they wouldn't change the rules in the middle of the season. I'm OK with replay for HR's, I just wish they would've waited for the postseason or next season to implement the rule. |
