Default 1921 E253 Ruth. PSA 1....$18,999 ebay

Am I mistaken to believe this is a $3k at best in PSA 1 grade?

Only six times market value? Pffft, that is not even out of the ordinary for an eBay BIN.

That's my Ruth. It's far from a 3k card

Definitely not a $3k card in today's market. I don't believe it is $19k either but sellers can ask whatever they want. .

Defintely not a 3k card, unless there is pwcc provenance somewhere in the last few years

What is it with these ridiculous BIN offers? It is all over the place on the bay. Have people lost their minds or what?

You place a high BIN and take offers. I don't really see the problem

I think you may want to take the post down as it’s not fair to Pete to sabotage his listing now that you know it’s his.

What is with this trend of bashing sellers and prices all of a sudden?

If you aren't interested in something for sale, just move on and stop criticizing please. It doesn't help anyone.

Big prices, best offers, negotiating they are all part of any collectables hobby and nothing new.

In a hobby filled with alterations, fakes, and shady transactions do we really need to be bashing honest sellers trying to make legit deals just because some don't like the price?

List it as "taking offers" and a seller gets nailed, name a price in an effort to make some money...also gets nailed.

If you want a sweet deal then keep an eye out for them and grab them when they come along.

I don't think the "bashing" is anything new. This is/has been the tactic of some sellers as long as I can remember...overpay for a card today...list it at 3x's buying price the next day.

There is a sucker born every minute...apparently?

Here's One fir the Peanut 'Verbal Shooting' Gallery Section!?

If it Pleases You ~

Let Us know How much Mr. Ruth's are worth?
What Price does Mr Ruth's deserve on our very own BST?

Note:

It's the Only One...
The 'Ghost of Mr Ruth' is in a PSA 1 Holder...
(off the top of my head, I believe)
They were Graded about 10 - 12ish years Ago
& the PSA Slab is Spotless

*Low ball numbers will be included in the finale average
Of Mr Ruth's deserved Price!

Who cares what someone puts as a BIN on eBay? It’s as much just for advertising as it is for actually selling it. More power to Pete on that front. I’ll tell you this much, if that is a $3,000 card right now I’ll buy it every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Good luck on it Pete!

Bill

Absolutely! Go Pete. My intention wasn’t to bash. It was to be educated. I have this card and I’m absolutely stunned it’s increased this much in value. I hope he gets $19k

Why am I not surprised the whole thread was a circle jerk to pump the value and spotlight the card?

Going back to hide under my mattress
