With all but a few of the major auctiosn over I thought I would see what everyone was able to pick up recently. Although, I was out-done on the auction block and did manage to pick up a really nice lot of t206 HOFers from a fellow board member.

I'm no longer buying anything (except food), but my last purchase was a gem: an Ed Reulbach action photo from Leland's, described as a "wire photo", ended up having a Paul Thompson back stamp. After this pleasant surprise, I now need only Conlon and Bain Reulbach photos. Okay, Van Oeyen also but that won't happen.

I've never golfed and definitely don't collect golfing memorabilia, but in the last Mike Gutierrez autograph auction I was suprised to win at min bid an LPGA Championship flag signed in person by celebrities/LPGA golfers at celebrity tourament that proceeded the championship. I can't even remember why I bid on the item, but it is interesting. Signed by HOFers from four sports (LPGA/baseball/football/basketball) plus a small crowd of B celebrities including Alice Cooper and Leslie Nielson.

Found a neat website that I don't think is in the dealer links, but maybe should be. http://www.martyspsagradedcards.com/

Bought my Ty Cobb Green back from Marty, for a fair price.

The last things I won in a non-ebay auction were a great Starffin photo and a little Starffin airplane (Russian pitcher, pitched his whole career in Japan, 30s, 40s, 50s), from Gary Engel. I bought Monty Sheldon's BEST artball to date of Old Hoss Radbourn, and won 2 Fan Craze (Huggins and Willis), an E79 Jack Johnson, a nice T206 Eddie Collins T206, and the 1887 Oshkosh cabinet with Hoy, Selee and McCarthy--all on e-bay. And bought one of those pretty little anonymous ball players, die-cut ("Artistic Series") Philiadelphia. from board member (David Levin?), 1888.

Starffin in the 1949 All-Japan series against the U.S. Game was lost by Japan 1-0 after Starffin had been removed after the 8th.

Check out my website, which is growing exponentially. Thanks to Ben!

I am getting shut out in all of the major auctions, but I am still happy as can be thanks to my friend Scott E.

We believe this card to be unique but there might be other Old Put Cobbs out there. Has anyone seen another Old Put Cobb? (The one that "Toni" from Italy is selling does not count )

I won this a few weeks ago leaving me a green portrait short of having all four cobbs (fortunately, it was significantly less than 5 large for the e98 old put ):

Thank goodness I didn't have to compete with Quan-dollars! The snipe was set pretty high on that card though, because I long regreted not buying it when Greg had it for sale.

Nice pickup on the Jackson cards! Your JJ collection must be almost complete.

very nice card Wesley - I really need an e98 cobb as I try to complete the set, but that one was a tad much.

Thanks Josh and Quan. I need a E98 Cobb for my set, so I killed two birds with one stone with that one.

Guess my wife will need to get a job now.

...i have a psa3 for you...same condition as yours but it doesn't have the ink stamp on the back. i bet you can't cross urs over to PSA without the MK qualifier. I'll also throw in a few bucks since I like the red back over my orange.

though, first of all, congratulations on the first Jackson Cracker-Jack to Quan !

May I say ....about time !!!

Feels good haa? Go get that 2nd one at the least , trust me you'll even feel better.
I did lay off hoping that you would get one and I didnt want to drive the price up either. That is not a bad grade at all to start with.

Alot of you's recieved some pretty good stuff (as usual). Outside of the Boston Garter Evers that Hal desperately wanted, my other small victories are.......

2 different color 1st series Contentneas, both portraits as some of you know that I am a portrait freak.

Sammy Sosa game used cleats from the 2002-2003 season. I know there NOT vintage, but considering Sosa is a possible future H.O.F. er It's going to be one heck of an auction block item within the next 15-20 years.

Best Regards,

Adam J. Moraine

A few T207 "coomons" and a ticket stub from the Max Baer/James Braddock heavyweight title fight. I also recently received a lot of War Gum cards (almost pre-war I guess) I won in the 20thCenturyOnly auction.

New this week, a mixed bag:

Still trying to get the hang of the new scanner for color items. The E93 Chase is all there despite the scan job and I am hoping for a really high grade on this beautiful card when it goes in.
