Default Louisiana Tobacco rarity

Posted By: Lyle

One of my favorite previous threads asked for opinions regarding the rarities of various Carmel card sets.Along those lines, I would like your opinion regarding the rarities of the Louisiana Tobacco sets which include: T213 Coupon ( Types 1 - 3 assessed separately )
T214 Victory
T215 Red Cross ( Types 1 & 2 assessed separately )
T216 Kotton , Mino , & Virginia Extra assessed separately
I look forward to your responses . Thanks !

Great question Lyle. Unfortunately I only have a single T213 and don't know the answer. I am curious, however, about the rarity of the T213-3s with overprints and the premium for these cards.

t213-2 pops up once a week on ebay.

t213-3 about once per month

t213-1 sporadic bimonthly

T216
tougher than t213-2

T215, scarce because of popularity among collectors

T214 if you see one buy it

Also, I lived in New Orleans for 2 years in the late 80's and I never saw any vintage baseball cards over there. I believe a large percentage of the Louisiana issues have already been dispersed around the country by now.

Does anyone have an opinion regarding the relative rarity of the T213-3 Overprint , T214 Victory , T215 Red Cross Type 1 , and the T216 Mino and Virginia Extra variations ?

The first being the rarest - the last being the most common of the listed cards.

Victory
Red Cross Type 1
VA Extra
Mino
Coupon Overprint

I only wish I would have kept the Mino Cobb I had before I quit collecting! It was the E90-1 Batting Pose.
