REACH (Reach played in the National Association , the pre curser to the National League from 1871-1875 and was manager of the 1890 Philadelphia Phillies , He is however better remembered for being instrumental in changing the modern game of baseball as we know it as an executive and sporting goods company founder. His name is consistently listed on Hall of Fame ballots.
