Ty Cobb is my focus as well. Here's a pic I snapped before a show. I bring my Cobbs to display in hopes of picking one up I don't have.

Matt, nice group of Cobbs. Which back is on that card on the bottom, middle of the page? The portrait looks orange. Is that a Hindu back?

I just finished reading the new bio of Cobb by Charles Leehrsen and came away with a much better opinion of the man than I heretofore had. He was no angel but he wasn't either a raving psycho, but rather a sensitive, complicated person.
Here are some of my Cobb items.

Hi Paul,
The Cobb you mentioned is an uncatalogued premium C.1948 (that's what I was told). It has Rabbit Maranville on the other side. I have another one of Satchel Paige and Bobo Newsome. Other than that, I know nothing else about them!

Great stuff guys!

David - That M110 is fabulous!

Sam - Thanks for the kind words and your Cobb's are awesome. Love the centering and full borders on that E95. Is that one from Leon's collection?

Brett - Superb color and registration on that red Cobby! I agree with Leon, the red portrait is one of my all-time favorites.

Well played indeed.

The Cobb green only comes with 8 different backs, and 6 of them are either Piedmont or Sweet Caporal. That is still an amazing group.

Speaking of multiple backs, where are Jaime's Cobbs?

It takes every shred of my will power not to check! There is a remaining green corner above these two that I just have to imagine was a Cobb as well, so I’m happy to preserve these just the way they are.

Probably largely redundant, but here is my quartet. I acquired three of the four (all but Greenie) on this board, so I want to thank those who made them available.

Dang, feeling kinda inadequate just having one of each of these.

At least the Bat On is the only one out there from Mr. Carter's collection though...

I have a few Cobb items that I enjoy.

While on a business trip, my grandfather got the autograph for his teen-aged son (my dad).

Both of the m113's pale in comparison to Tom's signed m114.
