Default Would you keep this card?

I picked this card up the other day, and it came in the mail today. The seller didn't mention anything about the writing. It actually looks like someone wrote on it then tried to erase it. Then when I contacted him about it, he said he didn't notice it and couldn't tell from the scan.

The card is overall in great shape. In fact, if it wasn't for the writing, it would fit nicely into my ever-growing Ex-Mt type set. So that's why I've been thinking about keeping it. But if I were to ever upgrade and sell, I wouldn't get NM pricing out of it, which I what I paid. I'd probably get 1/3 of what I paid. So should I return for a full refund and try to find another raw copy in this condition? Or should I just keep and take the loss when I upgrade it later?

And the seller has responded and offered me a full refund if I so choose. He even offered a partial, which I absolutely will NOT take. I will either keep it and learn from it and just eat the cost, or I'll return for a full refund.

Here is a full scan of the card. As I said, it would fit nicely into my set. But if I ever upgraded and tried to sale, I'd basically have to give it away.

Refund,

Get a refund. Too much invested in it not to. And continue your search.

That is a heartbreaker for sure.

I'm afraid I have to agree with this.

As I said, the seller is working with me and giving me the choice. I have decided to go ahead and return for a full refund. I hate doing it because otherwise the card is in awesome shape. Thanks guys for the help.

Refund all the way. The only way I'd keep it would be if he gave you such a generous partial refund that it would cover most of the cost of a better condition card.

What's the card? And if you like it, why don't you want to take a partial refund, so you can keep it at a fair price?
