Andy posted this in the long thread on framed pieces. I just noticed the letter is written to Mark Bowers, who is a poster here.

Jeff Heath was a Canadian ballplayer from Fort William, Ontario (which is now a part of Thunder Bay). Tommy Heath was an American who died in 1967.

Max: As a fellow Canadian, I'm truly disappointed. Jeff Heath practically died underneath you (in Seattle, 1975).

Max,

No hard feelings. My maple leaf would not bleed as strongly if this post had been originated by some American!

(To my American friends--no hard feelings--all in good fun!)
