Default Jackie Robinson Bond Bread - Real or Fake?

Does anyone know if this was real or fake? Looks a lot like the one the went a couple years ago at Memory Lane.

Ebay seller also had an authentic Babe Ruth last game with the Yankees Ticket Stub and other genuine older items.

Anyone have one of these?

It does look to be different then the first one I posted.

Doesn’t look good to me. Looks like it’s made of the same card stock you see on the fake Cobb fans and all the “Indiana barn find” phony advertising signs.

Cobb fan looks more like the pix of the Repro I posted in my 2nd post. Obvious fakes. I'm not convinced the pix of the first one I posted is fake.

Or if it is, at first glance appears to be a very good fake.

Might be one of those you need to see it in hand to determine.

Since the seller had ALL other good vintage items, and no history of fakes, offers returns.....seems to be more green flags then red flags.

Red Flag though like you say is "Indiana".

To me it looks more like it was sanded round instead of die cut.

And the cardstock is different.

Default Here is the front and back on the Memory Lane one

Does look slightly different from the first one I posted.

Also, I'm seeing white around the border on the Ebay one, whereas the Memory Lane one has an all red border.

The one you show from ebay is not die cut as stated. You can see how the edge is very 'wavy'. In the first photo look at the edge between ‘popular’ and ‘baseman’. In the third photo showing the reverse look at edge between his pinky finger and 12 o’clock going counterclockwise. It looks like it was cut with a pair of scissors. I would be a bit curious about the finished cardstock of the back. Looks like it is coated. Would they bother with that on this type of freebie card back then?
