Default HELP: Spalding Cincinnati Reds 1940 World Series Champions Baseball

Can anyone shed some light on this ball? It has a W.B. McKechnie (team manager) stamp. Just looking to find out a little more info on it...

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,
Do you think that these were perhaps made for Opening Day in 1941?
It seems like this might be a plausible theory, although who knows 70 years later? Consider sending a PM to Brandon Grunbaum....

Thanks, Scott. You may be on to something there. I will definitely contact Brandon to see if he knows anything about the ball.
