This year I've already added 6 of these 7 2007 SPX to My Ripken collection.

Nice!

I always like the Topps A&G.

By far my favorite modern cards.

Haven’t had a Henderson RC in my collection for a few years but had the itch to add one again. Found this guy that I thought was really cool with a big chunky rough cut on top and some decently rough-cut sides.

Not the biggest fan of Bauer, but nonetheless he was on the list and crossed him off.

A nice 82 Topps Ripken Jr. rookie to add to the set.

Anyone know why the bottom seems to have fallen out from underneath this card? Is the Traded version of Ripken Jr. worth the price disparities between his true rookie card and a second addition of a card in the traded set? This logic fails me.

My best guess is that the regular Topps card was produced in much higher quantities than the traded. The PSA populations back this up, and I'd imagine the gap in raw population is even larger. Throw in the fact that collectors do like the "solo" cards better than the combo ones, and I think that's the answer.

It is a pretty significant gap, of course, as you pointed out!

Thanks, and that does make sense, but it boggles my mind.

Cheers,
