Topps releases preview of new Topps T206 set on Twitter
For those that love vintage sets remade with modern players, start saving your cash. This would be a fun one to buy a case of.

Looks like a set of 50 cards (maybe?), released in 5 waves of 10. There will be back variations. I'll probably buy the first wave and see how I like them.

I thought these were awesome as a kid in 2002 when Topps first did it, but now I really wish they'd make the images look remotely T206 like. The smoothing photoshop filter they use does not even slightly resemble the T206 art style.

That's true; they'd look better as pointillist dotted images like the original lithographs.
