Default Barney Dreyfuss rookie card?

I am doing some research on Barney Dreyfuss's rookie card. I see OldCardboard has it listed as the D322, 1910 card. They also have a few newer cards I wouldn't consider. I saw a postcard of him that is a year earlier. I wonder how many earlier postcards, before 1910, exist of him? Even though a postcard might not be considered "a" rookie card I am just getting some thoughts. Thanks in advance.....

Hi Leon! That Dreyfuss Tip Top is a tough HoFer. Took me many years to finally get one. That whole set is cool with the mascot and Forbes Field. I'm thinking of getting the set graded soon. My brother and I are compiling a bunch for psa. I'm curious myself about other Dreyfuss cards...post cards and others? Dave

The Barney Dreyfuss Tip Top card is one of the more difficult cards for the Jewish player collectors. The card shows up in the auction houses or on ebay about once every other year (sometimes more frequent). Bill Goodwin had a really nice one at PSA 4 or 5 (?) about 2 or 3 years ago in his auction. A PSA 1 was sold on ebay last year, I believe.

Leon:

All of the Dreyfuss postcards and premiums/supplements that I know of which pre-date the D322 are team items so discounting the fact of whether or not you count postcards as rookie cards, the team items would not qualify as such so the Tip Top Bread would be the only true rookie card. Of course, if you know of the existence of an individual Dreyfuss RPPC issued earlier than 1910, that would be a different story entirely.

Here's my Dreyfuss, that dates from 1909-10. Pretty cheap alternative to the Tip-Top. I know it's a team-card, though.

It isnt a card, it isnt a postcard, and it isnt a rookie, but I picked this up recently from a board member. It is a 1920+/- Sporting News file photo.

A great image of Dreyfuss.
