Default FS: Vintage Original Glass Plate Negatives Ruth Gehrig Wagner WaJo Mathewson +++

I have a group of 39 glass plate negatives that are available for sale. A good number of these are Bain photos, including the Ruth rookie era glass plate negative. Please inquire about pricing on specific pieces. I do not wish to spread around some of these images that have yet to be published (the ones I have pictured were all in the original auction listing, so they have already been "outed" as it were), so serious inquiries only please.

Please note recent auction prices on similar glass plate negatives:

Babe Ruth - $1,000-$20,000 (a pair of rookie era pieces each went for $20,000 in early 2015)

Lou Gehrig - $2,500-$5,000

Christy Mathewson - $2,000-$4,000

Other early HOF players - $600-$1,500

You could send me the price for the Baker unless I am one of the places you don't want to spread one of these around to.

I misspoke a bit and edited my listing. My hesitance is in regards to the images that are in the collection that are not yet part of the public domain. All of the images I have shown from the collection were part of the original auction listing. The rest are the ones I am not wanting to spread around to "interested parties" who are not interested in purchase, but rather to have the image. I think that spreading the images around (that were not part of the original listing) could harm their value potentially.

And Jeff...I'm sure you would make a great home for the Baker.

Incredible stuff. You might want to consider heavily watermarking your images if you're worried about them being put into the public domain.

You are assuming that I am both tech savvy and not a moron.

Two large assumptions on your part.

Do you currently own these and have them in hand?

Can you please post all the images and each price? Water marks are free and most if not all have probably already been scanned and are in public domain.

They are not yet in hand. They are paid for, and I am currently negotiating with the "art shipping" company on a reasonable shipping price. They are looking for close to $1,000. While I want them shipped professionally, and expected to pay a hefty sum....not that hefty.

I do not wish to post all of the images. While I am sure most of the images are available somewhere, I just feel that putting them all out there for public consumption could (emphasize could) affect value in a negative way. Watermark or no watermark.

I have not put prices on them as I am inviting conversation at this time. Anyone interest can open a dialogue. I will let everyone know when they are in hand, and if any of the ones they are interested in are about to head off to an auction house.

Hope that is helpful.

Thanks! I will be holding onto the Wagner and the Matty signing the baseball image if at all possible. Possibly a couple more.
