1948 Bowman... not exactly vintage but does this look good?
Posted By: Jon
Ok Ok, sorry this isn't an Old Judge thread, but I've kinda been focusing on upgrading my 1948 Bowman set I put together when I was 12... Needless to say, I came across this card and something about it makes me questions it legitimacy... I was hoping the keen reprint inspectors on this board could lend a helping eye! |

It looks A-OK. The correct factory edges, border size and relative color to the portrait, print patterns, and the back, although tilted in the printing, is fine. If you need it, bid on it. Unless the image has somehow been drastically altered, I'm sure that the card will pass muster with any and all of the major grading companies. |

I don't know the seller, but the card looks just fine. Rough cut on right and left sides, smooth cut on the other two edges. In 1948 Bowman produced quite a few sheets that were later cut by hand. This card, however, appears to be factory direct. |
