Default REA Strategy Poll

I'm not looking for your secrets, but I would like to know if you participate in REA what your general practices are. Do you:

a) Bid early and try to establish a high bid even before extended bidding, with ceiling bids?

b) Bid early and try to establish a high bid even before extended bidding, with no ceiling bids?

c) Bid early to set a placeholder and then follow-up with serious bidding to establish a high bid at the beginning of extended bidding, with ceiling bids?

d) Bid early to set a placeholder and then follow-up with serious bidding to establish a high bid at the beginning of extended bidding, with no ceiling bids?

e) Bid early to set a placeholder than then follow-up with serious bidding only at or after midnight, with ceiling bids?

f) Bid early to set a placeholder than then follow-up with serious bidding only at or after midnight, with no ceiling bids?

Would you like to set this up as a real poll? I can do that for you.
Should be set up now. Had some trouble with the length of the choices, but I got it down. Thanks!

I missed the actual poll at the top. Sorry about that.

Now I finally figured it out. You put the poll up while I was typing my message.

Careful Barry -

I tried helping someone yesterday and ended up offending a whole country of people.

So much of the bidding takes place past 2:00 AM EST on the final night. After placing a few preliminary bids a few weeks ago, I don't even have to look at the website until the final night.

I assumed this was the case, and so far the early results suggest this strategy is the most common. It would be interesting to see the actual bidding data over time by user. I wonder if REA does any analysis of this, or whether it is just obvious from the results.
