If you’re willing to include supplements then M101-2 and 1904 Sporting Boiler Supplements contain team “cards”.

Team cards where you can actually discern the players pictures are some of my favorite cards. And that’s where postcards have them beat. But a goal to collect them all would not be very fun. But, not to pile on, trying for a team card of every team for every season might be a good way to incorporate postcards (for all the teams and years where there isn’t a card).
