One of the joys of vintage football is the mainstream cards are pretty cheap except for maybe ~10 or so. Even HOF rookies are usually less than a McDonalds meal, and with sets so much smaller than baseball, building them is light on the wallet. Carl Eller made 6 pro bowls, the HOF, and the 70's all-decade team, got his rookie for $6.
