I'll be there Friday to start.
Alan, sorry you can't make it.
Cy and Larrie's table will be missing from this show.

Jay, Mark, Jared, Bill Todd and anyone else, let's see if we can work out a meet up at another table, or FOOD area.

The show doesn't open until 2 tomorrow. Maybe meet somewhere to eat beforehand? I don't know the area all that well, so someone else would have to choose the place, but Mapquest will do a decent job of getting me to that place.

First, Alan we missed you.
It was a pleasure to meet Bill Todd and Jared, and to see Mark Evans again.
Didn't get to bump into Jay the T206kid.
It's a shame, because I brought my Doyle, and T206 set to show him.

To start with, Cy cards didn't set up, and Larrie Dean is in Machu Pichu, opening up the baseball card vintage hobby in Equador.

However, there were a couple of added new faces at the show, with vintage cards.

One was Randy Cook of Talkin Sports 2000.com Sports Network.
Kansas City, MO.

Picked up an E93 Tinker from Randy.

Then we have Roger Neufeltd from Norman OK.
Have vintage, will travel.

As always, General Donald Johnson has his table loaded with great lookin vintage.

Then we have Huggins, what more can I say.

I know that I'm missing some great vintage dealers, and I'm going back tomorrow Sat, to get their names.

Also, maybe I'm lucky to pick up another surprise.

Joe

I thought the show was OK at best. The only T206s and quality cards were overpriced (I think most of the board members cleaned them out on Friday). The show seemed fairly empty and many dealers were reluctant to buy some of the cards I was selling. All in all bought my normal card (this time a Joe Wood auto) from Don and sold some stuff.

I went this afternoon. Not much vintage. I bought 2 T206s from a dealer from I believe St. Louis who also did some kind of baseball related radio show.

I agree it was kind of empty (at least today around 4:30). There were about 6 people working the PSA booth but no customers.

Adam, the desler that you talk about, is Brandy Cook from KC.
He has an internet sports talk show.
This was his first show at Chantilly.
I brought over another dealer to his table late Sat, dealers name is Hank Thomas, (Walter Johnson's grandson, great guy).
We were talking about The Glory of Their Times, and a pitching match classic between Joe Woods and Johnson in 1912.
Joe Woods son is 87, and was also a classy dealer, but no longer does shows. Randy and I both picked up the CD's of The Glory of Their Times from Hank.
Hank usually has some great Johnson material at his table.

I recall picking up an N172 Hanlon from Woods son many years ago.

Collectors have to have the patience of a fisherman.

Fish for it, and it will eventially BITE.
