Cuban Baseball Matchbox Octavio Rupert Questions
Hi-
I recently acquired the Cuban matchbox pictured below. It has a picture of Octavio Rupert on one side and Duke (spelled Dukt on the box) Williams on the other side. I am guessing this dates to the late 1940s/early 1950s, is that accurate? Were these issued as part of a series with other baseball players? Does anyone have any similar ones? Sorry for the poor quality pictures. I will try to scan it over the weekend and post clearer images. Any information about this matchbox or the series would be greatly appreciated. Alan
