Default For those that collect signed jerseys......

has anyone had any problems with either sharpie or paint pen fading over time on signed jerseys (signed on the numbers) ive always loved the look of signed jerseys but am so worried that the autographs would fade over time (particularly the silver sharpie ink paint pen) thanks

Blue or black Sharpie & keep them out of the sunlight and UV rays & they hold up fine....

I agree blue or black sharpie but I believe jerseys should avoid any UV rays at all costs, even more than photos or balls in my opinion.

I would only use black or blue sharpie . Silver paint sharpie is just that ...silver paint.

Of course avoid smoke. Blue, black sharpies do fine but of all the jerseys I have I have no silver paint. Avoid light

I was told by my local card shop owner, that hairspray sprayed on before the signature is signed helps the ink from bleeding.
