It's been a few years since I won a Probstein auction. This card brings me to 27 of the 36 cards needed for the set (75% complete). 1935 National Chicle #10 Cliff Battles HOF RC. (sorry for the awful scan) $122.50 not bad $4 shipping and then $8.86 tax ouch! In my mailbox $135.36.

I don't buy many football cards (I currently own 5), and I don't buy many cards this new (I have exactly 2 cards printed after 2000), but I love watching this guy play. And I think this card looks awesome. He's unblockable on most plays, and he's either double-teamed or chipped most of the time. I don't think he gets as much credit as he deserves for how dominant he has been, and defensive lineman tend to not get massive hype in the card collecting world.
- 8 Years in NFL - 8 Pro Bowls - 7 times 1st team All Pro - He won Defensive ROY in 2014, and here's he finished in Def. Player of the Year since: 2015: 2nd 2016: 4th 2017: 1st 2018: 1st 2019: 5th 2020: 1st 2021: 3rd - Hoping he gets a Super Bowl ring tonight! edit: HE DID!!

At the YouTube link above you can see Cliff Battles, Sammy Baugh and the Washington Redskins win the 1937 NFL Championship over the Chicago Bears in frozen Wrigley Field. The players said the frozen grass was like playing on razor blades. The period football music is a bit loud, but this highlight reel is awesome
