Mike,
That Howie with the arms crossed EPDG is a awesome!
Nice stack of Pirates.
If you ever plan a trip down to see the old Pirates spring training park in Dawson Springs (down by the river), let me know and I will take a road trip up and visit the folks while I am town.
Hope all is well,
Bob

I've noticed a good number of lower condition ones that are slightly burned on one of the upper corners. The two I have are also burned slightly on the upper right.

There must have been a good sized find of El Principe backs that had been through a fire. Anyone know the story? I'm thinking it would be an interesting one since the cards have burns, but no water damage.

There was a warehouse fire at the old Sports Collector's Store (somebody please help me with that name), and a lot of the singed T206's in the hobby originate from that source.

The Bresnahan portrait I showed sort of appears to be burnt, but it's just dingy from being exposed to the elements........when I bought it, the seller told me it was actually found in an attic ( I know ) amongst other non sports cards as well as a small group of tobacco cards, and also an unkown card of a player I can't remember-Ty Cobb, Cy Young maybe? I wish I still had the email.

So it wasn't in the fire that Tim's was in ,,,,,,I have also seen a few with that one burnt edge though....very interesting!!!

Yep, like that. Until I saw the one a bit farther down the page that was the worst one I'd seen.

And now that Barry has posted the rough details I'll have to keep an eye out for other brands with the same damage. I don;t recall seeing very many, but these backs are a bit tougher so maybe the singed ones are a bit more obvious.

Gotta scan my two which aren't all that bad. I think the scanner will be having a bust day tomorrow.
