1956 Topps white and grey backs
Posted By: DW
Hello everyone...I have a question about my favorite set. Is there a difference in value between the white backs and the grey backs in the 1956 Topps set? I'm in the slow process of building my set and I would like to know if I should keep one of each white and grey card or if just keeping the one that is in the best condition would suffice. Thanks very much! |

the white backs are fairly common in the first series (up to about # 100) after that they are much harder to find than the grey backs. so if someone wanted to put together a master set with all variations they would be willing to pay a premium for the white backs. i put my set together over 15 years ago and just bought 1 of each card # and i have only 2 white backs after #100.i paid no attention to the backs. so i would say just stick to getting 1 of each # first, as the white backs will indeed be hard to find and will cost you more. |
