Default Topps 1983 Printing Error On Back

I have seven Topps 1983 cards that are double printed on the back. For example, the Mike Schmidt "All Star" #399 is double printed with the correct info + the info from Larry Gura's #340 card. Ron Guidry #440 is double printed with the info from Nolan Ryan's #360. I also have Jenkins #230, Eckersley #270, Seaver Super Vet #581, Palmer Super Veteran #491, and Simmons Super Veteran #451 cards with the same issue. I've tried to find information on this printing error to no avail. Can anyone shed some light on these cards? I've included photos of the Schmidt and Guidry cards...Thanks!

Did you pull them out of packs 38 years ago? My first guess would be they are scrap but they don’t appear to be handcut. Topps had poor quality control back then, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got through and made it into packs, vending boxes, or complete sets.

I didn't unwrap them, they were included in a larger collection I bought that had thousands of random cards and sets.

They are cool printing error cards but they would never be recognized as variations. The Mike Schmidt All Star card and the Ron Guidry card are from the D sheet, the upside down overprints of Larry Gura and Nolan Ryan are from the C sheet, so that means someone at the factory messed up and overprinted the C and D backs upside down on the back and that sheet snuck through when it should have been thrown out. The C and D sheets were printed on the same 264 card super sheet which was then cut in half to separate the C and D sheets. It’s very possible that each of those cards is unique but there should be all 264 cards from that particular C and D sheet out there somewhere unless they were tossed over the last 38 years. ETA, all seven cards are from the D sheet and undoubtedly have corresponding upside down C sheet card backs overprinted on them.

Yeah, pricing information on these will be spotty. They're just not sold consistently enough.

I might have messed up, but just out of curiosity could you confirm if I got these right, back of Jim Palmer Super Veteran is Manny Trillo, back of Ted Simmons Super Veteran is Jose Cruz, back of Tom Seaver Super Veteran is Dave LaRoche, back of Dennis Eckersley is Vance Law, and back of Fergie Jenkins Super Veteran is Enos Cabell?

Cliff...You got all right except for Fergie Jenkins card is not a Super Veteran card, it is his standard card. The back of that one is Ken Oberkfell
