Do yall think that one of these would grade much higher than the other and if so then wat would you say the difference is worth?

I have an Ed Walsh that looks like the Walter (big pic) that graded an SGC 20. I would bet the other would grade the same b/c of the paper loss. If I had a choice though I would choose the smaller pic of Walter b/c the front looks better and imo the front is all that matters to me.

I would take the smaller one over the larger one in a heartbeat. The large one looks really questionable to me. Does anyone feel this could be a reprint? I believe the type should be dark brown not black.

I would think the smaller one would grade between a 2 and a 3 (2 if it has creases or wrinkles).

The larger image, based on the scan, is almost certainly a reprint.

Here's a link to the one in question-http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-T206-Walter-Big-Train-Johnson-Portrait_W0QQitemZ8704056415QQcategoryZ86840QQssPa geNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I have to agree that it doesn't look right to me, even if legit i'd still take the one on the right. Kit Young is selling it, the price maybe a little high at $350, but not by much. It is a great looking card.

i think i'd pass on both...if they grade between a 2 and 3, i would look for a graded 2 or 3 to be sure i'm getting the real thing...but thats just me
pete-

my best pitch was the one that made it to the plate!

I agree with Pete. With those scans, for that money, go the safer route: find a graded one.

BTW, if this rain doesn't stop, we'll never play tomorrow.

I think the larger one is a reprint but I'm going to by the smaller pic for $350 but i can be sure that it's real because it's from Kit Young. If anyone knows a place where I can get a similar one a little cheaper lemme know.

Henry, if you are about to spend $350 on this card.. you can find on already graded a 2 for that same price. Be patient and keep an eye out on e-bay.

Does anyone think that the smaller picture is worthy of a psa 3 or 4 or will it get a definite 2?

I have never seen a card with paper loss grade a 3 or 4.
