That’s not Ty Cobb. That’s not Cy Young. That’s not Ed Killian. Stop it..

I realize now that commenting rationally on these posts is a waste of time.

But I have noticed that the spelling and grammar in them is similar to phishing emails telling you that you will get a $100 gift certificate if you click on this link.

These posts feel very phishy to me as well.
The author has never replied to comments or concerns addressing these insane claims on any of the posts they've made. And just keeps making more.
The only thing missing is an email for off platform solicitation.

You know that classic saying. If that's cy young, I'm the pope!

Isn't that Joe Jackson?

Although he kind of has Babe Ruth's ears...

The funny thing is, while the people in suits are just people in suits, some of the generic baseball ones are nice. It's just that the people pictured are not who he thinks they are (if he even really thinks that and is not just messing with us).

So, Ben called the other day and we waxed nostalgic. As a result, I told him I'd check out Net54 again and post.

So I picked a quality thread to re-join the forum. I'm comfortably relieved to see that not a fvking thing has changed.

My comment was aimed at the fact that these clowns are still popping into your forum and making crazy claims.

I read several threads and picked the most absurd one I could find.

My apologies. I took it differently. And though we don't keep in touch much, I have always enjoyed our interactions in the hobby, which have been many. I can't say that about a lot of people . Anyway, yes, ass-hats are still trying to scam people (this thread not withstanding, no comment on it)

And the OP said more to come. I can't wait!

Same here regarding interactions with you. When I re-read my post in light of how you took it, I could totally see your reaction - I almost slapped myself for my stupidity, and tried calling you to explain. So please accept my apology.

I am going to try to slowly find threads where old friends have posted, say 'hello' and interact a little. I did look around a little yesterday and was happy to see that most of the old guys still participate.
