Default Blowoutforums question

Is there a member of Net54 that’s also affiliated with Blowoutforums.com? Perhaps a Gort or Administrator??

I’m having no success in trying to register for an account. In fact, I just got a message that I have been suspended for “No reason specified” and that the suspension would “never” be lifted.

Can anyone shed any insight? Thank you!

Now that BODA is mostly inactive, I pretty much stopped reading Blowout. Certainly has its share of knowledgeable people, but very skewed towards modern and flipping.

Thanks for your help.

Even though I am a vintage collector, my son collects new football cards so I wanted to utilize their BST for him.

I love Net54 and have met some great people here and have bought some great cards from them.

It’s just that I’m looking for 2020/2021 football cards for my son and I saw some on Blowout’s BST I would buy but can’t get registered and don’t understand why.

Agreed. This is a generalization, sure, but Blowout is a bunch of guys arguing about modern prospects they want to flip for short money. It's pretty much a toxic cesspool with .00001% collectors. If a prospect is not Babe Ruth in his opening week, they lose their shit. If a prospect has a good day, he's Babe Ruth. I would not spend any time on that site, much better and healthier ways to engage with card related content. It's basically a den for modern sportscard adrenaline junkie gambling.

I respect your opinions; as I’ve stated, I’m just looking to use their BST for modern cards. I wasn’t looking to join their witty forum banter!

Too bad nothing really happened from all work they put in.

I quit going there when they banned the funny picture thread in the off topic section.

OP, I hope you get your access figured out.

I enjoy the Blowout forums. I don't really collect modern so I RARELY post, but I enjoy lurking.

It's true, there are LOTS of threads and comments that trend negative, whiny, etc....but not all of them.

There are actual modern COLLECTORS (not just investors and flippers) that post there too, and it's interesting to see that side of things. Some of the collectors have IMPRESSIVE collections. As we all know, the sheer amount of options, products, parallels etc. in modern mean there are an almost ENDLESS amount of options for collecting modern, so to see a passionate collector assemble a focused set, player collection, parallel color run (they call them "rainbows") is pretty cool. Their odd obsession with little pieces of cardboard with pictures of baseball players isn't too much different than ours

Also, the stereotypes go both ways. Sometimes people bring up Net54 over there, and usually someone pipes in and generalizes that Net54 members are knowledgeable, but pretty much just old and grumpy too. Maybe not too far off from the truth?

Start a thread in the football section here, saying what cards you're looking for. Perhaps, members here can help you find what you seek.

The OP wanted help getting set up on blowout but most posts seem to focus on how crappy the site is. LOL. Anyway, hope he gets his login credentials.

The site is very heavily weighted for modern...as it always has been so this will be good for his wanting to sell...MODERN CARDS.

As an aside the Grading section is pretty interesting and occasionally the main forum for Baseball has some important hobby info.

So far anyhow, but recall that the T206 forgery case was years in the making before an indictment..

Logged in just now and apparently I'm banned lol. Got a warning a week ago or so saying that they don't allow no fee payments and I have complied and not posted/pmd anybody since.
Must be a rogue mod Or just incompetence.

Also that's a good reason for banning me they listed in the message right?
