Default Hypothetical Trade

With the way prices are increasing, I’m curious. Hypothetical only, and I know this would depend greatly on the specific cards and situation, but say you own a 52 Mantle in a PSA or SGC 1 or 1.5. Would you consider trading it for PSA 2s of 52 Mays, Robinson, Mathews and Campanella or is that still not enough to even think about? I find myself thinking about these things all the time now.

Not trading my 52 mantle unless it's an upgrade over it

I wouldn't trade my PSA1 Mantle for PSA2s of all those cards combined. Maybe PSA5s.

Holy crap, there’s a PSA 1 52 Mantle listed on eBay right now for $75k. It’s a good looking 1, but still, that seems crazy to me. If that becomes the going rate for a 1, I guess I’m screwed.

No, you don't trade marquee cards except for other marquee cards. I'd definitely swap it for a comparably valued T206 Plank.

The chances of them actually getting 75 k for that are virtually nil. Just someone taking a shot in the dark at getting vastly overpaid for having the only currently ebay listed PSA graded Mantle that's below 100 grand.

I would never trade 1 big card for a few lesser cards.

The paperloss on that 1 is tough.

If that one sells for 75K then I need to up the insurance on my low grade Mantle.

An SGC 1 just sold today on eBay for just under $20K, and it is much worse looking than the one in Clean Sweep. Of course with the buyer's premium, that one is really up to almost $24K.

I have no problem trading one big card for several smaller cards. For me the person with the one big card gets a nice premium though.

That SGC1 the seller more likely underprice he didn't expect to get sold pretty much immediately(less than few hours i think)
now more like 28K
