Default Post your T206 Name on Top ONLY please.....

I recently got this oddity from a fellow board member that had it on Ebay.

Of course the name on top screamed at me but the oversized borders were amazing to me! Maybe the large borders are just an illusion?!?!

Please post your T206 name on top only please. I've seen plenty of name on top and Bottom but not many with just the name on top!

Thanks! Mike

It's in the SGC holder upside down but it's a name at top.

That Powell makes me laugh. SGC must have thought the back was upside down the way it’s slabbed. This McGraw appears to have writing at the bottom, but it is a WST of the factory designation.

Default Name on Top

Weren't there newspaper ads when these first came out showing the names on the top rather than on the bottom?

Westlake with an Old Mill back. This one always sticks out to me, got it 15 years ago in a lot on eBay that was terribly listed in the wrong category and had a pair of T220 Silver Borders, this, and a T206 3 Finger Brown (pitching, Cubs on shirt) for like $8 shipped.

Bringing this thread back up to add a new one for my family of weirdo's. I love oddballs of all kinds, so this one fit in my collection perfectly.

This may have been mentioned before, but Re: the Hindu ads, I think the graphic designer at the time just took some liberties to make the players' names visible since the artwork had cards stacked on top of each other...not that they were considering actually doing the names at the top.

BTW, some cool cards...I used to own several drastic examples, back in the day.

Maybe it’s the angle but that Mullin looks very wide as well. That’s a cool one
