I prefer to look at cards when they're organized by team. Years ago, I was struck by how well the 1952 Bowmans display, particularly when the cards are organized by team. One reason the look so good, I believe, is that the images are so consistent. It's not like most sets, here you have a mix of head shots and far-away action poses. in the '52 set, they're all mid-range shots (just about every single image, no less!). The '50, '51 and '53 Bowman sets are all favorites of mine (all of which had truly great artwork or photography), but none, in my opinion, display quite as well as the '52s ...
