Great Story by Former Eagle Base Ball Player mid 1800s
Posted By: Shawn
I have been researching heavy into the early Base Ball diagram and Rules that I had picked and posted about in a past thread. I just recently found this (what I think)is a wonderful read, written by a former player of the Eagle Base Ball team from Mass. It is his recollection of the time he spent with the team. I love some of the descriptions he gives of winning the big game! Anyway, the book was published in 1895 and is called the "History of Florence, Mass". I hope others will enjoy and that this is not a "repost". |

An enjoyable read! Thanks for posting. Amusing to read that in 1894 they were already nostalgic for "the good old days". Doubt they could even begin to imagine what it all would look like now. |
