I sold one to a Forum member about 2 1/2 years ago, it was the example used for the picture in the SCD Catalog. I have not seen or heard of one selling since then. I will not disclose the name in case he wants it confidential.

I've seen them auctioned two or three times in the last 7 years, including in the Barry Halper auction. They're as rare as they get.

Rhys- thanks for keeping me confidential . I am about as secretive as Wal-Mart. I think I am the one that bought your card, if I remember correctly...Crap, as much stuff as I buy I might as well stick my nose in every thread...I still think there is some mystery surrounding the borders on these. I believe Lew Lipset told me that all of them have the thin borders and at one time it was thought they had bigger borders....

I bought this from a friend who won it at the Halper auction. It's the only one I've ever seen in person.

i have to double check but an old REA auction might have had some of these with the 'trimmed' borders where rob said all the ones outside of the burdick collection are that way. they are interesting cards that i wish showed up more often
