Default Watch out for these PSA f***ups

Here is an example:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1960-61-PEL...D/293247537629

PSA is grading 1961 Heinerle cards as 1962 Lutter Schutt cards. The difference is pretty easy: the 1961s have the two weightlifter back design while the 1962s show four athletes. They're also labeling 1962s as 1961s:

In short, PSA's work with these cards is a total random mess.

Default also Perfetti, graders mis-dated Beckenbauer rookie etc

Good post!
I have been sharing such warnings on my FB and Twitter.
Good to see yours here.
Also graders made a mess of Perfetti 1967 cards.
All graders I see mis-date the series by 2 years, as 1965.
The Beckenbauer "rookie" is not a rookie, as it's from 1967.
Gradually we'll get the news out.

Default PSA mis-dates Baines golf cards by J. Baines of Bradford, etc

A classic PSA mistake, here. Some of these World-War-One- era and early-1920s cards is EVEN dated on the back: "17th March 1921".
Yes, one of the cards shows a letter, from a boy, dated 1921.
So PSA took this clearly dated 1921 card and graded it as 1897!
Then unwary buyers pay more, I guess.
Similar cards were sold in an "Old J......" auction in USA. I wrote to both firms. No reply from either

Default psa crappy soccer knowledge

We submitted a 1986 Diego Maradona card known to every collector accept the pin heads at PSA.

It took me 6 seconds to google 3 images of the card. They must not have Google at Pinhead Sports A**holes.
