Default Merry Christmas Memory

Pulled this out from its storage slot this holiday season. My mom (who has been my collecting buddy all of my fifty some collecting years) got me this for Christmas I believe 40 years ago from our local grocery store, after I had longingly eyed it for a few months! I was pretty excited, and it still makes me happy to see it. 2 sided and about 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 feet, was stuck up high on a pole in the store. Would put it on top of my tree if I could! So from Larry, Magic, Santa, and the boys, and me - I hope you all enjoy your Christmas and your holidays, and have great new memories to add this year!

Great item! Some all time greats and a couple of not-so-all-time-greats....

Btw, the cat looks thrilled 😂

Cool item and story. Surprised Brett and Schmidt aren’t in there.

I think they replaced the "not so great" folks with the likes of Schmidt, Brett, and Sugar Ray Leonard the following year - lots of different promotional 7up items were issued with the "new and improved" lineup. I remember bottle insert tags, small posters, and 5x7 (?) player pictures, maybe? I am sure I still have them somewhere in the great uncharted mass! Fun memories!
