Default Walt Alston postcard date?

Picked this up for my HOF set.

Anyone know when the post card was issued? No date on back.

The picture is probably from 1936, the only year he played for the St. Louis Cardinals (one game, 2 at bats, Sept 27 1936!).

Thanks

Larry

Very cool. I like the postcard a lot. Neat early image of Alston. There are only a handful of images of Alston in his St. Louis uniform. I believe any postcard with a Kodak ("Place Stamp Here") back was produced in the 1950s or beyond based on playle. It looks like a George Burke image from 1936 that was later put onto a Kodak- back postcard by George Brace (likely in the 50s-60s). You will see many Kodak-backed postcards with the signature blue writing on the back that identifies the player (I believe that is Brace's writing).

A few good references:

I think that's a Jim Rowe postcard printed from a Brace negative. While the picture would date from the 30's it's very likely the postcard was printed in the 1970s-1980s.
