Default Baseball Figure - antique?

Does anyone have an idea if this is a collectable. I've not seen one before. Pretty heavy. Metal top, marble base. I find no markings on it. Anyone seen one of these before?

Based on it's stylistic merits, the piece looks much more modern than antique.

Agree with this, and have seen them offered with slightly different bases if memory serves. Still a nice looking figural.
