Before I get too much credit for the changes today, I want to announce that there is a new moderator for the board. I'm pleased to say that Bill Cornell will be taking over the duties effective immediately.

I think it's time for some new blood, as this will help take the board in a new and better direction. The board is in good shape right now, with the number of page views at an all time high, and the current level of controversy low. Hence, the time is right for a changeover.

I believe that a lot of you know Bill, and I have no doubt that he will do a wonderful job. I hope that everybody extends to Bill the same courtesies that they have to me for the past 2 1/2 years.

It's been a slice.

Elliot

Elliot:

Several years ago you made a great gesture by agreeing to take over the FullCount Assylum and make it your own. You did a stellar job running the new board and managed to do it with style and class.

Bill:

Big shoes to fill. Good luck!

Kevin

to Elliot for a stellar job. You took an inspired concept (albeit a tad broken) and took it to the next level. It's appreciated!

Bill...hang tough and I still HAVEN'T thawed out from Leon's AC room!

My thanks also to Elliot for his 2 1/2 yrs. of benevolent moderation. His are big skates shoes to fill.

I've tweaked some of the look-and-feel of the site, as noted at the top of the page. Everything else stays the same, as it should.

Bill

And I couldn't think of a better heir to the moderating throne than FatimaBill. The recent "tweakings" are really huge improvements....nice work!

I only agreed to hand over the reins, if Bill would make the changes I had promised so many times. Also, I think he mentioned something about "Moderator Emeritus", but Bill seems to have forgotten about that now that he's in charge.

Thanks to everybody for their kind words.

What's a professor emeritus? He's just like a regular professor but he has not class.

Elliot:

Many thanks for providing a wonderful forum these past few years...Some of us realize what a "thankless" job it could be at times...Hopefully, now you'll have more time to participate in the chatroom as well as expanding your T206 collection.

Congrats Bill with your new appointment...Nice to see a member of "Red Sox Nation" at the helm....

E...just curious if this transition of power is conditional until final approval of the player's union and Bud Seilig....rumor has it that "THE PLAYER TO BE NAMED LATER" is BENTON....?

Just what the board ordered...a displaced Red Sox fan! Best of luck, Bill, the improvements already look great!

And all the best to you, too, E, for getting this thing going and keeping general order among the inmates until now....
