Default August pick ups.

Shoeless Joe. Not sure what it is but I loved it.

That Joe Jax artwork is beautifully executed. Such amazing precision!

Can you tell if it's an original piece, or perhaps a copy/poster/lithograph?

Either way, it's a stunner.

Thank you. I was told it was a lithograph when I was considering purchasing it. It will be the first non-Pirate item on my wall.

But he was a "Pennsylvania" player......the Shoeless One played on the Bethlehem Steel team in 1918.

Picked up this full size plastic Wade Boggs SGA celebrating his induction into the HOF in 2005. Still need to find out the date it was given away. It looks nice in my display next to my other 2 Boggs SGA bats.

Couple of Negro League photo pickups. Been working (with some help) to ID players on this 1947 NY Cuban's photo.

The 2nd photo is of the 1946 Tampico Alijadores of the Mexican league and includes HOF Raymond Brown.

Default 1941 Cleveland Indians Spring Training Rosters - Bob Feller

By far, my favorite Cleveland Indians Spring Training Roster booklet from the 1930s to early 1950s is the 1941 issue, featuring Bob Feller in a pitching motion in the background. A few years ago I was fortunate to pick up the green version, which is all I expected to be available. I am now happy to add a yellow version roster, featuring the same Bob Feller picture in the background. The information is identical across both items, and the semi gloss paper is a match, just a different color. Now I am wondering if there are other versions out there to be found!

Harry Wolter H&B, c 1919. I don't buy many bats these days but super happy to find and add this one. Wolter (also commonly called Wolters) was with the Highlanders for much of his major league career. This bat would have been from his final playing seasons in the PCL. The bat has "Harry Wolter" side-writing.

1917, similar style bat (photo lifted from RMY):

And...just because it's one of my favorite baseball photos, Wolter (dog in lap) with Boston, 1909:

Default Peaches

It has been an amazing month for my Rockford Peaches collection....First of all I added a Graig Kreindler painting to the room of probably the best player in the AAGPBL---Dottie Kamenshek and then topped it off couple of days ago by acquiring an original game used Rockford Peaches hat from the player directly! I am smiling.

Nice addition Jason! I have never seen a green version. Will add it to my pocket schedule/spring training roster checklist.

Beautiful bronze Bob. The image seems to be earlier than the 1880’s, is there a story to the dating?

There is a date around the base that has 1886 on it. I am guessing that the player's uniform dates it earlier but the statue was created in 1886.

Default 1917 World Series Program at Chicago

Picked up what I believe to be 1917 World Series Program at Chicago. Not sure if it has all the pages or not as I have never seen the inside of this program, but it does have both the White Sox and Giants score pages.
