Default Fake Joe Louis Chesterfield Postcard?

I received a Joe Louis advertisement card today from an eBay auction. As soon as I looked at it I thought it appeared a little fuzzy. Not a crisp photo as I remember it. So, I compared it to another that I have had for many, many years.

The new card is definately darker overall, like a second generation photo might look. If you look at the lower right of "The Winner" banner the shaded area is just a sliver of a shadow while my old card has more of a triangle shape.

The new card is also miscut along the top. (I couldn't see this from the eBay scan.) The new card is actually smaller top to bottom and left to right.

The card stock is similar weight, but my old card is a creamier color. This especially noticable on the back.

Do you think this card is a fake? It is puzzling to think that someone would counterfit a relatively inexpensive and available card?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Default Louis Chesterfield card

Hi, Jerry:
I have two of these Chesterfield cards, both acquired about 15 years ago, one in Canada and one from the U.S. Both have the same miscut along the the top and "sliver" of shadow on the bottom right of "the winner" banner. While it seems odd, compared to your brighter version, I don't think this is evidence of faking. More likely just a sloppy print run, which apparently was corrected.
Murray.

Thank you, Murray. That makes sense. It's an awesome card, but hardly a "high end" product with real tight quality control.
