Default 2008 SCD Standard Catalog checklist: Missing major league sets/cards?

Posted By: Don Fluckinger

The book's out and I'm getting lots of feedback.

But I want more!

Have you found any problems you'd like to report? Email them to me at don@virtualcrate.com with "2008 Standard Catalog" in the subject.

Also, if you'd like to go over pricing data and offer your two cents worth on a set or two or six--try to keep it limited to your specialty/passion/obsession--we'll get you on "the list" and if you follow through next year when we hit you up for pricing data we'll send a free copy of the book and acknowledge you in the book.

Your call! You can post about it here, or get off the sidelines and into the game.

Default 2008 SCD Standard Catalog checklist: Missing major league sets/cards?

Hello Don
Thanks for chiming in. I have always used the Krause SCD big book as a reference manual. When Bob L (hi Bob) was doing the book I helped with some things, mainly about a dozen or more scans of seldom seen cards. I would be happy to lend a hand on some of the things/prices I know. I won't be your man for more common (T205,T206 etc...) issues but I do have exposure to many of the more esoteric ones. Not just one or two sales but, I think, a pretty good idea of current values. When I was helping Lyman do a price list for OldCardboard I would take what I thought the street price was and lower it by a margin of 20%-30% in order to be conservative. Right or wrong that is the way I did it. I know he took many other hobbyists input before making his list so I am sure there is/was a happy median....Shoot me an email for my contact info and we can go from there....take care

Don- I sent you an email volunteering my services. I provided Bob with my information and opinions regarding the T207 set and also some of the caramel card sets (E93-98) a few years back and would be glad to do so again.
