I've always had good experiences with Kevin Savage Cards. They have 2-3 auctions per week and there's no buyers premium!

They're great guys as well. We're set up back to back at the Philly show.

Couldn't agree more, great guys to chat with, great guys to deal with. While they don't do a lot with prewar, they do also seem to get a lot of cheap stuff that makes you go "huh haven't seen that in a while."

I have built a percentage of my 1956 Topps set and so many other sets through Kevin Savage cards. They ship quick, reasonable prices realized and great service.

Don't you mean talking to Kevin and listening to Richard P. Blandford

Default Kevin Savage

I first met Kevin during the Summer of 1981. We were both set-up at the Freehold (NJ) BB card Show. He had some great stuff on display, and this 1949 BOWMAN Satchell Paige
card caught my attention. The going price for this card back then was about 250. Kevin was interested in doing a trade, so I offered him a Rose rookie, and I threw in some cash.

To quote Humphrey Bogart in the ending scene of Casablanca with Claude Rains.... "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

And so it has been for 40 years with Kevin.....a really great guy.

I bought a 1958 Topps Set off of Kevin & Pat at the 2013 Robert Morris Show. It was a nice VG-Ex set with a rough Maris and an ok Mantle and Williams but pretty decent otherwise. I was building my run at the time and had already bought 63-65 earlier in the spring. I had told my wife three sets a year until I got back into the more expensive 50's sets. So, I was already at my limit. Pat & I haggled back and forth a bit. He sold it to me for $1800 and told me that he was hoping to get more out of it. I think he looked into my eyes and saw the hell that I was about to catch when I got home so he took pity on me.

Those guys are great. Always one of the first tables that I go to at any show.

+1

On the basis of this thread, I registered with Ken Savage auctions and I've won a few items. I've been really happy with the service. The cards are accurately described, there's fast shipping at reasonable costs and no buyers premium too. I'm a fan.
