Default Does anyone collect only one set?

I'm curious how many people only collect one set and not spread themselves out over several. I debate on focusing on only T206 for example but i love so many others too.

I collect three sets, but I get sidetracked easy. T206, 33 Goudeys, 52T. Just finished parting with my tip top breads and glendale hot dogs......but now 19th century types have caught my eye. Dave. ps I might add I'm sticking with graded cards.

Yep, E105. I wouldn't recommend it - it's brutal!

I'm always working on multiple sets or subsets, I like the variety. Right now that includes T206 HOF'ers and '61 Topps.

I have 4 basic sets going. Elmer Miller type cards as he was a relative of mint who played for the Yankees, 1923 W572 set in raw, Topps Cubs from 1951 to current (complete with all errors and variations - done). And graded E121 Giants and Yankees ( my 1921 World Series Set). Why limit yourself with so much choice out here? Oh, left out my T207 Cubs.

Default One set only.

T207 - everything else has left the building. Not even really collecting those anymore either as recent life events are priority, but should it come back, that's where it is/was.

Default Sets

I started out collecting T201s almost by accident. I purchased a group of cards with a T201 and a T206 Johnson portrait card in it. The Johnson had almost perfectly round corners and a perfect image.

Then decided to finish the T201 set. However, I got so enthused with the look, feel and history of other sets including T206s and T205s I just couldn't help myself.

I am focusing on 3 sets right now:

E92 Dockman SGC 50-60
1956 Topps SGC 84-86
1965 Topps SGC 88-96

I collect other stuff too, but everything else takes a back burner to those.

David, how is the 1965 Topps going?

I only collect T206 right now, but I have a complete set of 1965 Topps, every one PSA 9, except #597 Joe Nossek.

I am just getting started. I am at 7% completion with an average of 91.29 (almost an 8.5). Most of those are high numbers, I wanted to get those knocked out first (not that high numbers are that tough for '65). Those blue backs are so prone to chipping that it makes it very difficult to find them in high grade.

I'm thinking about focusing on compeltign a set. I've never done a set before and have always wanted to. I'm thinking of either the T202 set or the 1909 Obaks.

Only collect T205's.

My son, Turner and I have focused on this set for years and it has finally paid off.

Thanks,

Matt E.

I'm going to tweak the question just a bit and give my answer:

Does anyone collect only one set maker?

I collect pretty much anything relating to the Philadelphia Caramel Company.

I have 4 of the 13 sport and non-sports sets they issued and a couple of

items relating to their company.

I only collect Louisiana issues, and all of them are tough.

Coupon Cigarettes
Peoples Tobacco
Holsum Baking
Weil Baking
Tango Eggs
Red Sun

It seems that interest in these sets has picked up in the last year or so and the prices have risen dramatically.
